Product Overview
The KOZO WCB Class 300 Y Strainer is designed to remove solid particles from liquid or gas streams before they reach pumps, valves, meters and other downstream equipment. The reference configuration uses an ASTM A216 WCB cast-steel body with a 316 stainless steel screen.

Screen Selection
Mesh size should be selected according to the particle size that must be removed, allowable pressure drop and cleaning frequency. Very fine screens can increase differential pressure and may require more frequent maintenance.
Maintenance
The screen should be inspected and cleaned before excessive debris accumulation causes unacceptable pressure loss. Blow-off or drain connections can be specified where required by the piping design.

Why use a 316SS screen in a WCB body?
The screen is exposed directly to collected debris and process fluid, so stainless steel is often selected for added corrosion resistance and cleanability while the WCB body provides the pressure-containing structure.
Can other mesh sizes be supplied?
Evet. Screen mesh or perforation can be selected according to the required filtration duty and allowable pressure drop.
