Product Overview
The KOZO F51 Class 1500 Forged Trunnion Ball Valve is designed for high-pressure oil, แก๊ส, chemical and other corrosive process services where duplex stainless steel construction and controlled operating torque are required. The reference configuration uses ASTM A182 F51 duplex stainless steel, a PEEK seat, RF flanged ends, worm-gear operation and a split-body trunnion-mounted design.
In a trunnion-mounted valve, the ball is mechanically supported rather than relying on the seats to carry the full ball load. This arrangement helps reduce seat loading as line pressure increases and is commonly selected for higher pressure classes and demanding isolation duties.
Why ASTM A182 F51 Duplex Stainless Steel?
ASTM A182 F51 is a forged duplex stainless steel grade commonly associated with UNS S31803/S32205 material families. Duplex stainless steels combine ferritic and austenitic microstructures and are selected in many oil, แก๊ส, chemical and chloride-containing services where higher strength and improved resistance to localized corrosion are required compared with conventional austenitic stainless steels.
Material suitability still depends on the actual fluid composition, chloride content, อุณหภูมิ, ความดัน, fabrication quality and project corrosion allowance. Final material selection should therefore be reviewed against the real operating conditions.
Key Design Features
- Trunnion-mounted ball: Supports the ball independently and helps maintain stable operating torque under high differential pressure.
- Forged duplex construction: Reference body material is ASTM A182 F51 for high-strength, corrosion-resistant service.
- PEEK seat: Reference configuration for elevated pressure and demanding service conditions where a higher-performance polymer seat is required.
- Split-body design: Facilitates assembly and internal maintenance of the ball, seats and stem components.
- Worm-gear operation: Provides controlled manual operation for high-pressure quarter-turn service.
- RF flanged ends: Reference connection for integration into ASME piping systems.
- Project-specific trim: Stem, ลูกบอล, seat inserts and sealing materials can be selected to suit the actual process medium.

High-Pressure Service Considerations
For Class 1500 service, final valve selection should consider maximum differential pressure, operating temperature, fluid composition, cycle frequency and actuator or gear torque requirements. Seat and stem-sealing materials should be selected as a complete system rather than on material temperature limits alone.
Where sour service, fire-safe design, fugitive-emission control or third-party inspection is required, the applicable project specification and certification scope should be stated at the inquiry stage.
Typical Applications
- Oil and gas production and transmission
- Refinery and petrochemical isolation service
- Chemical processing
- High-pressure utility systems
- Offshore and corrosive process piping
- Project-specific sour or chloride-containing service after material review
Available Configurations
The 2 in Class 1500 F51/PEEK configuration is a reference arrangement. Alternative sizes, pressure classes, seat materials, trim materials, connection types and actuation packages may be available subject to project requirements and engineering review.
- Manual gear, นิวเมติก, electric or hydraulic actuation
- Alternative seat materials selected for the actual temperature and medium
- RF, RTJ or welded end configurations where applicable
- Full-bore or reduced-bore arrangements subject to design
- Optional accessories for remote indication and automation
Applicable Standards
- เอพีไอ 6D – reference valve design standard
- ASME B16.10 – face-to-face dimensions
- เอพีไอ 598 – inspection and pressure testing
Additional standards and certifications should be confirmed against the specific valve configuration and supplied documentation rather than assumed for the whole product family.
How to Specify This Valve
For an accurate quotation, please provide valve size, pressure class, body and trim material, seat material, end connection, design temperature, operating medium, differential pressure, actuation method, required standards/certification and quantity.
คำถามที่พบบ่อย
What is the main benefit of an F51 duplex body?
F51 duplex stainless steel combines relatively high mechanical strength with corrosion resistance that is useful in many oil, แก๊ส, chemical and chloride-containing environments. Suitability still has to be confirmed for the actual process conditions.
Why use PEEK for the seat?
PEEK is often selected where higher pressure, temperature or mechanical performance is required compared with more conventional polymer seats. The final seat design must still be matched to the actual medium, pressure and temperature.
Can this valve be supplied with pneumatic or electric actuation?
ใช่. The reference product is gear-operated, but pneumatic, electric or hydraulic actuation can be reviewed according to valve torque, available power source, fail-position requirement and automation philosophy.
Can other pressure classes or sizes be supplied?
ใช่, subject to the chosen design and project specification. The 2 in Class 1500 configuration shown here is a reference configuration rather than the only available size.
