The KOZO Hydraulic Counterweight Butterfly Check Valve is designed for large-diameter water and industrial systems where controlled non-return closure is important. The butterfly-style disc is assisted by a hydraulic damping system and counterweight so closing behavior can be tuned to reduce severe pressure transients.

Hydraulic Closing Control
The hydraulic circuit can be configured to influence disc closing speed over different parts of the stroke. Final damping settings should be based on pump inertia, flow velocity, line length, static head and acceptable transient pressure.
Selection Notes
This valve should be selected together with system surge analysis where pressure transients are critical. Valve size alone is not enough to determine the correct hydraulic setting.
How to Specify
Please provide DN, PN, medium, normal and maximum flow, pump data, pipeline pressure, expected trip condition, installation orientation and required closing-time philosophy.
