Selection and application principles of eccentric hemispherical valve
Applications of Hard-Seal Eccentric Ball Valves: Hard-seal eccentric ball valves have a wide range of applications. They are suitable for water, steam, and oil systems; suitable for venting valves and control valves at the bottom of dams (high flow rate); and suitable for valves in pump delivery systems, such as pressurization systems and central air conditioning systems.
Selection Principles for Eccentric Ball Valves:
1. For main pipelines transporting oil and natural gas, especially those requiring pipeline cleaning and buried underground, select full-bore, fully welded ball valves. For those buried above ground, select full-bore welded or flanged ball valves. For branch pipes, select flanged or welded ball valves, full-bore or reduced-bore.
2. For refined oil transport pipelines and storage equipment, select flanged ball valves.
3. For city gas and natural gas pipelines, select floating ball valves with flanged or threaded connections.
4. In oxygen pipeline systems within metallurgical systems, select fixed ball valves with flanged connections that have undergone rigorous degreasing treatment.
5. For pipeline systems and equipment handling cryogenic media, select cryogenic ball valves with bonnets.
6. For pipeline systems in catalytic cracking units of oil refining plants, rising stem ball valves can be used. 7. In chemical systems, for equipment and pipelines handling corrosive media such as acids and alkalis, all-stainless steel ball valves made of austenitic stainless steel with PTFE seat seals are recommended.
8. In metallurgical systems, power systems, petrochemical plants, and urban heating systems, for pipelines or equipment handling high-temperature media, metal-to-metal sealed ball valves can be selected.
9. When flow regulation is required, worm gear driven, pneumatic or electric regulating ball valves with V-shaped openings can be selected.
