The KOZO Monel 400 Globe Valve is designed for marine, seawater and selected corrosive process systems requiring controlled shut-off or throttling. The globe-style flow path allows more precise regulation than a gate valve, while UNS N04400 nickel-copper construction is selected for compatible marine and chemical environments.
Why Monel 400?
Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy widely used in marine equipment and selected chemical processes. Its corrosion performance depends on temperature, water chemistry, aeration, deposits and galvanic coupling with other metals, so it should not be described as universally immune to seawater corrosion.

For throttling, pressure drop, trim velocity, cavitation and erosion should be reviewed. Material compatibility should consider stagnation, deposits and galvanic effects.
