Product Overview
The KOZO F316L Forged Swing Check Valve is designed for compact small-bore corrosive and high-pressure service requiring automatic backflow prevention and forged stainless-steel construction. The swing disc opens with forward flow and closes automatically as flow decreases or reverses.
Why F316L Forged Construction?
ASTM A182 F316L provides forged austenitic stainless-steel construction for chemical, utility and process systems where corrosion resistance and compact high-pressure design are important. The low-carbon grade is commonly selected where weldability and reduced sensitization are beneficial.
Key Design Features
- ASTM A182 F316L forged pressure body.
- Swing-disc automatic non-return operation.
- API 602 / ASME B16.34 design family.
- SW, threaded, butt-weld or flanged connection options.
- Compact high-pressure small-bore construction.

Selection Notes
Installation orientation, minimum opening flow, line velocity and pressure drop should be checked for stable operation. Pressure class, seat/disc material and end connection must be selected for the actual temperature and medium.
How to Specify
Please provide size, class, medium, temperature, end connection, disc/seat material, body material and required inspection/testing standards.
FAQ
When should a swing check be used instead of a lift check?
A swing check is often preferred where lower pressure drop is important, while a lift check may be preferred for compact guided-disc service. Final selection depends on flow, orientation and line size.
