Large-diameter electric eccentric hemispherical valve application scope:

General purpose valve: Reasonably designed and compact in structure, it features low flow resistance, good sealing performance, and easy and flexible operation. It is particularly suitable for low-pressure pipeline networks carrying media such as water, sewage, スチーム, and pulp. It can be equipped with electric or pneumatic devices for remote automated operation. (For non-corrosive media such as water, スチーム, sewage, pulp, and slurry)

Pulverized coal injection valve: An ideal device for controlling the solid conveying of dust-laden gases and particulate fluids, such as pulverized coal injection. It is widely used in various pipeline control systems in blast furnace pulverized coal injection, pulverizing systems, and dust removal systems in metallurgical, mineral processing, and power production processes. It adopts a straight-through structure, ensuring smooth flow and preventing ash accumulation and blockage. The sealing pair is made of Co-Cr-W alloy material and undergoes special heat treatment, making the valve resistant to erosion and wear. The eccentric spherical surface of the valve has automatic compensation performance; by adjusting the bolts on the worm gear, the sealing pair can still achieve a re-sealing effect even under a certain degree of wear. (For dust-laden gases and particulate fluids)

Overview of PQ940/PQ947 API 598,API6D Large-diameter electric eccentric ball valve:

The PQ940F electric eccentric ball valve is a new type of ball valve with a structure similar to a triple eccentric hard-seal butterfly valve. Its opening and closing element is taken from a portion of the ball. During the valve’s opening and closing process, the ball and the valve seat sealing surface no longer contact each other, eliminating friction and jamming, reducing wear on the seals, and significantly extending the valve’s service life. The sealing force on the sealing surface of the electric eccentric ball valve gradually increases; that is, from complete separation to contact between the ball and the valve seat, the sealing pressure gradually increases until a complete seal is achieved, and vice versa. This greatly improves the sealing condition and sealing effect of traditional ball valves.

 

Features of PQ940/PQ947 API 598,API6D Large-diameter electric eccentric ball valve:

1. This valve is an electric hard-seal ball valve with strong wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Different seat sealing surface materials can be selected according to the medium and operating conditions to achieve different sealing effects.

2. The unique V-shaped notch of the PQ940H electric eccentric ball valve has a special shearing function. During the valve closing process, it can cut off residual impurities in the medium, making it particularly suitable for media containing fibers, small solid particles, and slurries.

3. During the opening and closing process, the ball instantly detaches from the valve seat sealing surface, with no contact between them. This reduces friction and wear between the ball and the valve seat, improving the valve’s service life. It also features low torque and flexible rotation.

4. When the ball valve is open or fully closed, the ball and valve seat sealing surfaces are completely isolated from the medium. The medium will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface during passage.

Principle of Electric Eccentric Ball Valve

The valve disc of an electric eccentric ball valve is shaped like a hemisphere. The valve disc’s opening and closing stroke is 0-90 degrees. However, the rotation center of the valve disc (valve shaft) is eccentric to the center of the valve seat (valve body or pipeline center). This allows the ball to immediately detach from the valve seat sealing surface when the valve is opened or closed, preventing contact or friction and reducing wear. This structural form is very similar to the sealing and movement principle of a triple eccentric butterfly valve. Therefore, some people say that the eccentric ball valve is not a ball valve, but more like a butterfly valve with a spherical valve disc.
